On May 31, 2008 I walked across a stage in a mostly-ironed gown. Not long after that, I moved the tassel on my silly hat to the left side and officially received my Master of Arts degree in Interaction Design and Game Development.
It's really only just starting to sink in.
Appropriately enough, the very next day I sat down and got back to playing Portal. I'm almost done, but I'd been dragging my feet because I don't want it to end (and because I was busy). Mass Effect arrived on my doorstep today, since I do not have an Xbox 360 and need to play it on the PC-- but since I do have a PS3, Assassin's Creed will also be joining the stable soon. I've been looking forward to being able to play these games so much!

- I'm a person. You can call me Ariel-- it's even my real name, suprisingly enough on the Internet! I have a shiny new Masters degree in interaction design and game development, which is terribly exciting. I started playing games when floppy disks really were floppy, and I am a roleplayer, game designer and interactive storyteller by nature; I draw and create worlds somewhat compulsively. I also had the honor of being an Omeganaut at PAX 2007, which isn't really related but is still so cool I just can't resist mentioning it in a bio.

Congratulations!
Huh. You have a PS3 but not a 360? That's the total reverse of me so far, but I'll probably pick up a 360 for Metal Gear Solid 4 soon enough. Let me know if you pick up a Wii or a 360 and we'll swap avatars. :)
